Modalert 200 (modafinil) is primarily used to increase alertness and enhance cognitive performance; it is not known to increase metabolism. By modifying neurotransmitter activity in the brain, it improves focus and alertness. Because of its stimulating qualities, modafinil may have an indirect impact on metabolic processes; however, there is no concrete proof that it dramatically raises metabolism, as stimulants like amphetamines or caffeine do. The drug's main effect would probably not be any possible alterations in metabolism. Note that Modalert 200 is not meant for weight reduction or metabolic enhancement, since these uses may result in unneeded risks and adverse consequences.
